The property is situated in the northeast of the Morvan regional nature park. A roomy house with a lot of charm, arranged with its outbuildings around a 65m x 35m courtyard.

The small town of Saulieu is 1.5 km with several supermarkets (Aldi, B1 and some smaller), nursery, kindergarten, primary school, high school (collège), bakers, butchers, plumbers, contractors, hardware stores, post-office, hairdressers, restaurants (including a 2 Michelin-star restaurant), sport clubs, music-school, community centre, banks, chemist, dentists, doctors, fire-fighters, ambulance etc. (hospital about 20 kms further).

The city of Dijon is 76km. The city has a rich history and a diverse range of architectural styles, plus all manner of big shops and shopping malls, university, very good hospitals, many museums and much more.

Tourist Facilities
Saulieu has a tourism office. The Park House of the Morvan is at 9km (http://tourisme.parcdumorvan.org/en/), the nearest swimming Lake is 4km (Lac Chamboux). Nearest sailing and swimming Lake at 25km (Lac des Settons). There is a small lake 400 metres from the property, which can be fished with the permission of the landowner.
Open-air swimming pool in Saulieu, indoor swimming pool at 39km (piscine municipal Avallon) and at 46km is Montbard, with the Amphitrite aquatic centre and TGV station on the Paris-Lyon line.
The nearest leisure park is Parc de l’Auxois at 36 km; a very nice wildlife park with playground and pool.

Schools for all ages up to and including high school (collège) in Saulieu, about 2 km. For further education, there is an agricultural college (lycée) in Saulieu. The nearest lycée for academic studies is about 35km by school bus.

Vet and small equestrian centre in Saulieu. Outriding is just behind the house.
