The property is situated down a quiet lane on the edge of the Perigord National Park, ideally placed to enjoy the surrounding countryside.  The nearest village is St Jory De Chalais, with a large camp site, small supermarket/La Poste and bar, high class restaurant, primary school, several annual equestrian events attended from all over France.

The towns of La Coquille and Thiviers, each just 5 mins drive away, cater for most every-day needs:  

La Coquille has 1 supermarket, schools, doctors, dentists weekly market (Thurs) A variety of other shops, boulangerie, chemist etc.

Thiviers has 4 supermarkets, cinema, hardware store, weekly market (Sat), church, schools, doctors, dentists etc., large garden centre supplies a wide range of animal foods including equine/dog/chicken/rabbit. Agricultural equipment is also available.

There is a wide range of tourist facilities all around including public lakes (St Saud Laccuserie and Bussiere Gallant) each about 12km. There are many fishing lakes with specimen carp and catfish to be caught.

The area is steeped in history with many historical sites around in the cities, towns and countryside.

The nearest airport is Limoges, around 55 mins. Car hire available at the airport.
